My blog is leaving Typepad for Substack
Typepad is dying and I'll move here Oct. 1
After more than 20 years of using Typepad to publish my “Bill’s Faith Matters” blog — starting when I still was a full-time reporter/columnist at The Kansas City Star — I’ve recently learned that Typepad has decided to cash it in. Which means that https://billtammeus.typepad.com will disappear, too.
So as of Oct. 1, my blog will be found here (and maybe occasionally even before then). My usual publication sequence is to offer new blog posts on Wednesdays of each week and on Saturdays for the weekend. I expect that pattern to continue here on Substack.
Via Typepad, my blog has been free to all viewers. You may still read it here for free simply by subscribing and choosing the no-cost option. If, however, you’re feeling just a tiny bit guilty about never paying me a dime for my wisdom and insights (that may well make you a better person and usher in lasting peace on Earth), you’ll also have the option of paying a nominal amount each month or annually. Enough said.
In any case, tell your friends and enemies, your siblings and children, your pets and neighbors to subscribe to my blog. I will continue to focus on the countless ways religion, spirituality, morals and ethics influence (not always for the better) developments in our strange and wonderful world. And I’m always willing to read your responses by email: wtammeus@gmail.com. (Be gentle, please.)
May Typepad rest in peace. May Substack live long and prosper.
